Quite decent

The animation and humor were good, as well the musics, the sounds and the story. The voice act wasn't bad, but sometimes it was so low or the music was so loud that I couldn't hear or urderstand what they were saying.
Sometimes the lip sync didn't follow the voice act (like in the last line of the evil boss) and sometimes the characters looked too stopped (like in the last appearence of the blond assistent of the evil boss). And I think you could work more on the drawings.
Now, despite the critics, that wasn't bad. It was a good video. I just think it could be better; and I hope that my critics helps with it.

Well I will get better.
Each episode is and hopefully will continue to be.

Spend more time working on it

The animation was low quality and there was no background, but had a nice music going on. And all the actions were too fast to fully apreciate (I had to watch twice to see all the plot). Put more frames between the scenes to make then smoother.
I know this is just a flash to improve your drawing skills, but I think it would be better if you just improve then BEFORE submitting some real thing. You would have better movies to show and probably more popularity. Or you can just continue with your way since most of your flashes ends on the top 5 of the day. Still, I'd rather see better things coming from you.
Anyway, good job and good luck training with frame by frame.

Hulalaoo responds:

"the animation was low quality", you say, all tween aniamtion, only need a draw, have more quality of animation frame by frame??!! SIR SORRY, BUT YOU ARE A GREAT RETARD IGNORANT OF 15 YEAR OLD OF SHIT, YOU NOT HAVE IDEA OF NOTHING, FIRE YOUSELF MOTHER FUCKER !
For make a tween you make a draw and move for more of 5 seg, how more of 30 frames, and aniamtion frame by frame, i draw 30 draw diferents, YOU NOT HAVE IDEA OF WHAT IS ANIMATED, STUPID !!! STTUUPPIDDD !!!!

It wasn't a bad thing

But man, you have to work on your drawing skills. The idea was nice, the animation was kinda smooth, the voice acting wasn't bad, but those low quality drawings ruined everything. And there were some parts without any music at all; fix this next time to make the flash better, ok? You can do some pretty neat work budy, just train more with the pencil before making another movie like this. Good luck.

Aqlex responds:

Art has definitely been one of my weaker areas. Not that writing was good either, but I at least had some practice with that, unlike my art! I've still got some pretty weak art, though I think it's developed into a bit more "watchable" style at this point. (And I think I've improved in a lot of the other areas as well!)

What can I say...

Since you will be working only on the goku movies for now, I'll review this movie based on things you can improve in the serie.
First of all, some things to make you happy: I've got some nice effects and sounds (for the use in a sprite fight), the music was good, you used well the few sprites of hitsugaya bankai and you changed to different battlefields a couple of times.
I'm also glad that when you zoomed the sprites, it was for only a little time. I addmit that I hate with no good reason the zoom of sprites, but I liked the effect you did with it.
Another point is that in a lot of times the momevent of the characters had only like 2 sprites of animation. You need to put a sprite between then to make a smoother visualisation.
The battle was too predictable (special attacks, sword fights, bankai...) ...yeah, I know it's a sprite fight and you ran out of ideas...but an interference of the scenario, a dramatic scene (maybe...), a comedy moment, anything would make it nicer.
And there was only two moments that the sounds were too low/loud, but I know you will regulate the sounds next time (I just don't want you to forget).
I know you just do it for fun and just for the people who love these movies, however, I still think that you can be in a level above. I think that you have pottential. Just try harder and if you make a movie that gets a lot of attention (and/or even get a daily 1ยบ, of course), you will see that you can be a better and more famous animator than you ever imagined (even with sprites)...but that's just me.
Anyway, I'm sorry for the topic change...good luck with your future projects.

Nice review ^-^

The characters movement was understandable, I got lazy putting the mask on the Bankai Ichigo's sprites and left some movements out lol. I'm tired so I don't really feel like responding to everything else, but everything you said makes sense.

Thx for the review

Excelent

This game is high quality: the animation was smooth, the history was good, the music and sounds were all right placed and the customs are very well done.
I liked the fact that there are little action scenes before the RPG fight and that you play with both characters in the first fight, and yet they have the same abilities (being on your control or being the CPU's).
I just think the game is kinda easy, after you understand how to play, you just have to keep using abilities, defending when the enemy charges an attack, using itens when low on HP/SP, and unleashing the limit breaker when fully charged. It's always like this to win. You should put more moves (with different impacts) to use or harder enemies, something to change strategy.
Putting more details to the game (like status from specific blows, stage influence, attack itens, more buffs, etc) is also welcome.
And the timed hits gave a nice touch, but they can be added when defending too. And the game was too short.
Well, here's some things that you can work on in order to turn this great flash in a majestic piece of work(I'll be waiting for it). Good luck.

Game-Max responds:

thanks for the review. I myself thought this was a bit easy however when beta testing I found some people thought it was hard and some people thought it was just the right difficulty. There's alot of people who don't play RPG's often and wouldn't pick up on the stratagies the way you did so I figured I'd leave the difficulty at a pretty moderate level. Besides, the battles are just meant as little interactive things to add to the flash rather then be super chalanging.

However, once I start getting into some 3vs 3 battles then it may get a bit more chalanging. the status is also something I'm considering adding. Having things like poison, silence, etc.... could deffinatly add an extra little chalange to the game. I'm also considering adding a "miss" code so that not every attack will land. this also gives me the option to add things like Acuracy boosts/Breaks and darkness status. Trust me as an RPG fan I've already thought all your suggestions and have taken them into acount for future episodes :)

good, good

It was well made, with funny faces and all. I don't give a 10 for not being an original idea and for being too short. I mean, you could add some animation of your own and the quality wasn't a perfect thing, so I think being short is a reason to give a lower score in this case. But it's always good to see a short flash just to give us a laught. Good job and keep it up.

Hulalaoo responds:

in really , is a original idea :D

My review is huge, but it is usefull

Tactical, with another of yours attempt to make a DBZ movie with jump ultimate/super stars sprites (don't you think of doing something else?) I have some things to say.
First of all, the ground of the forest is bad placed, the characters stand a little under it, in a strange looking area.
Watch out for the details, in the last episode the sky was dark (remember?), but in this one the battle happens in pure day light.
The characters are stopped in a lot of times; you should put more movement to them to give to the viewer the idea that they realy are alive all the time, and that they aren't just images (putting theirs anime sounds has this intension, you know).
Stop to zoom the sprites! When you use zoom it becames clear to the viewer that he is seeing just a bunch of pixels, and this has the same effect as the last problem mentioned.
You know the beam struggle? You didn't change the beams in the entire part, and this fact had, again, the bad result said before (my explanation: when a energy wave is is on the way to the target, it makes friction with the air and have a different shape on the front; but when it is in a clash for example, there's no air blocking the movement of the wave, so, it gets a different shape)
Regulate the sounds, there were some parts that they were too low to hear (like the voices) or too loud come in hand (like when goku talks when SSJ, which was a very annoying sound).
And seriusly man, that orange SSJ goku was a baaaaad custom.
It may seems that I hate sprites according to this review until now, but in fact I love sprites! Actualy, I'm planning to make flashs with them. But as there's a whole fucking lot quantity of bad sprite movies, and yours idea of a fight is not original, I think only a excelent job would be acceptable (an example is the Alvin Earthworm's use for Mario and Sonic sprites in SMBZ). That's why I think you should make at least 1 different flash, to not be knowed for something that everyone does (at least on youtube...), and why my criticism covered this huge review.
I hope this helps you.

OLD293 responds:

Hmm, nice review...

The forest thing is noted, I'll try to get them out of their as soon as possible. I actually did tint the stage a bit, but it might not of been as tinted as the last one in the last episode. I'll admit, the characters being stopped is a part of me being lazy...but I just didn't think that you would continuously keep moving like that when you are stationary. I'll fix it in the next episode.

Lots of people zoom in on their sprites, it it's already noted that what you are looking at is just pixelated art anyway. I don't think it would change anything but I've taken note. The beam struggle bit you are explaining, thats way too much science and stuff for me (even if it's basic). I'm not professional and I can't get it down to that much detail, I have my limits.

I was already thinking about doing heavy sound editing for the next episode, which is why it won't be out for a good little while. As for my originality, DBZ is more original than SMBZ, regardless of the popularity and action in it. I'm not copying anyone, I'm just doing what I like and giving people what they want (some anyway). Which would be a sprite fight for me and a storyline for the audience.

I'm no good at storylines which is why I hate doing stuff like this. I won't be able to heavily tie in a story, and I don't like taking up other people's ideas.

and actually, if I'm still spriting after this series, I'm going to mess around with Bleach JUS sprites. There doesn't seem to be many bleach sprite animations on here and I think I'm more talented with those than these.

It won't be anything serious though, just miniature storylines with action-packed sprite fighting. If people don't like it then I guess I'll just stop sprite animating and get on with my life, there are better things to do than to try to please people who don't want to be pleased with your works.

Thx for the review

I will err again, but may my apology be swift and sincere.
