A Forest Confrontation
Was a warrior in shambles
Crawling tired through the mud
Longer longer than she should
As the sunset dared encroaching
On the scenery around her
Crows were gathering with hunger
Breathing she should be no longer
Soon the body would give in
But tenacious her stubborn
Grit and living a desire
Burned inside of her an ire
That for moving to continue
And with every lift of muscle
And her glower flaring showing
On a face of dirty filling
Hand to grasp the roots of trees
For supporting prompt this leverage
She took measures she could find
Leaving monster blood behind
Sore completely aftermath
Taking joints and nerves of her
The sensation spiking latent
Source of forcing discontent
Reaching point at last she stood
Painfully amidst the forest
Wave of pike disbanded birds
Flung together with her words
Truly resonating roar
Thus to follow was a trudge
Limbs were prickling in spasmodic
Each of steps a blunt of seismic
Hiss and yet she forward marched
Slayed a menace moments prior
Danger lurking near the mountains
Author of foul hemofountains
Laid to rest the beast is now
To a blade it was susceptible
Tender meat was cut through vicious
Blow among the tall deciduous
True mute judges here around
After ploy of nature righteous
Luring fiend outside its cave
For a trap it self can't save
Better would've been abandoning
Prey the monster for own sake
Yet the gluttonous and vile
Chose to chase her all the while
Way she had for execution
Once was hidden with the trees
Though that wasn't without struggle
Death fight raged between the double
Dance of violent survival
Barely victor through the straits
She emerged by last incision
Yet no count of recollection
Really made her walking easier
But her ears perceived a rustle
Back from trail she carved escaping
Near bark came dark mouth a-gaping
It was bloody still alive
She held weapon handle firmly
Staring angry teeth a-gritting
As the enemy approaching
Free from dying stood about
Swing connected with the figure
Lunging just before the injure
Who recoiled quick and pure
Thing of animal behavior
Still strong brandishing pikewoman
Her defensive long steel blade
Dared not to allow to fade
Few her breaths so quick from history
Sounded creature putrid snarl
Lashing at her with its tentacle
Armor made the strikes some manageable
Did infuriate her more
Witful the attacked combatant
Grabbed from pocket spare a vial
Broke on tendril to defile
Through the form of it that acid
Screech pervaded deep the woods
So retracted the appendage
Beast to suffer hemorrhage
Which too showed extent was vaster
Too in wounds of battle previous
Too intense an inner suffering
Harmed and weak as well the thing
Grew it vengeful and grew restless
Swift stray bites next it attempted
Blocked or countered with her strikes
With the metal and her jukes
Fit for martial prowess hers
She controlled the situation
Cuts were adding up in gradual
Fashion over seconds lethal
Knee was failing her however
Causing slippage dire an accident
Opportunity that took
Now the brute to hurl in wake
Bring whole frame upon opponent
Helve could hold the jaws in reflex
Dripping froth and warmer blood
Chilling spine the woman’s would
Leave her self-control at limit
Till the pressure maxillary
Forced a straining on oak shaft
Broken parts of it were left
Still the lady held a small
Section improvising axe
That precise retaliated
On the eye of beast close placed
Satisfaction for the hit
The monstrosity reeled back
Shrilling loud and back contorting
Shake chaotic in that writhing
Strife in tolerating it
Then the gazing globe remaining
Powerfully took fixation
On the lady grim attention
Run a straight to her with might
With the maw with missed a motion
Warrior had dodged in time
Even near the nostrils’ slime
Stiff she was but she enacted
A maneuver of aggression
Fierce a chopping easy jugular
Were repeated slashes angular
Sway of wrath she was just under
Layers red she penetrated
Repetition from before
Feast of squirming smelling gore
Executioners the arcs
Of each strengthened laceration
Pairing tears and feeble cry
Of the enemy awry
Off from outcome wished upon
Tearing quite until unmoving
Carcass fell hard on the ground
An unmoving swelling round
Being deader this chance hopefully
The pale nervous lady crumbled
Leaning onto rigid meat
Turning bit a taking seat
Like a windy tree exhaled she
Trembling everything she had
Minute for a faintly muse
The relief that she could use
Falling gently over her
And unwaiting she erected
Self for downed foe an observe
Not without unrest and nerve
Blend of plenty inside stirrings
Thus returned her to the journey
Out the woods and towards city
Whence she came and where the pretty
Lass would find her some respite
Under stars above at night
Same emerging skyly fully
Now in scatter vast unruly
Over fighter and her might
